Results

The Fraunhofer Institute for Large Structures in Production Engineering IGP in Rostock focuses on tasks in the field of production and manufacturing of large structures. On the basis of applied research, concepts for product and process innovations are developed and realised for many future-oriented branches of the economy such as shipbuilding and steel construction, energy and environmental technology, rail and commercial vehicle construction as well as mechanical and plant engineering within the framework of research and development projects with our cooperation partners. Within the framework of a cooperation agreement, the Fraunhofer IGP works closely with the chairs of production engineering and joining technology of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Marine Technology at the University of Rostock and is a member of the Fraunhofer Transportation Alliance, the Fraunhofer Group for Production and various research associations and networks. Since 2005, more than 4000 square meters of laboratory and office space has been created in three construction phases at the Rostock site in order to be able to offer industry tailor-made services for engineering tasks.

YMV with its experience of more than 55 years in marine and offshore industries; manufactures winch and crane solutions, deck machines, deck equipment, life-saving appliances such as rescue boat davit and freefall lifeboat davit, propulsion system solutions to its customers in local and international markets. YMV manufactures shipyard, ship cranes and winches with different capacities. Propulsion system solutions that YMV design and produce are Tunnel thrusters: Bow-Stern Thrusters, Fixed Pitch Propellers. YMV provides the design, production, service, repair and maintenance of any kinds of these systems for any kind of ships from its Tuzla factory ISTANBUL. All our products designed tested, approved and classified by IACS Class Authorities according to customer request. YMV gives after-sales service in order to fulfil the quality level that fits the requirements and expectations of her customers. In the Maritime industry crane and winch sector, YMV has the target is to always improve quality and investigate on technology and increase the satisfaction level of employees and customers.on system solutions (tunnel thrusters, flap rudders) to its customers in local and international markets.
